The Links Youth Board is made up of motivated, dedicated and dynamic students from high schools all over the North Shore. These students meet monthly to strategize fundraising events, peer education, public relations and an annual fundraising activity. Links Youth Board strives to act as advocates for Links as well as advocates for their peers. As young people, they bring in fresh ideas, pressing issues that teens currently face and a different perspective to the organization. They are a valued and necessary part of Links.
How to Join
Links Youth Board asks for a one-year commitment. Meetings are on the second Tuesday each month at 6:00pm. Freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors alike are encouraged to join. Fill out an application and mail it to the below listed address.
Peer Education
In the past, Links Youth Board has worked with junior high schools to give presentations about the transition into high school. This gives eighth graders the chance to ask high school students questions about the transition. It is fun, educational and productive for all involved.
