Female Clinic
For over 30 years, Links - North Shore Youth Health Service has offered non-surgical gynecological services to young women. Our clients range in age from 13-25, and the treatment is non-judgmental and confidential. The clinic is staffed by medical personnel - doctors, nurse/midwives and nurse practitioners - who work in private practice and at large medical centers in the area. Trained support workers walk clients through the process and answer any questions they may have.
Treatment is by appointment only, but young women are quickly seen and the cost is exceptionally low. The client is seen from a "whole person" perspective - a medical and social history is taken, routine gynecological treatment is done, testing for STI's and other infections is performed, short-term counseling is available and referrals are made as needed. Clients are encouraged to call with any questions or problems they may be having. Low cost contraception, pregnancy testing and emergency contraception are available.
